Maxi Farm

20 adorable farm animals which may include chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, rabbits, pigs/piglets, sheep/lambs, goats/kids, alpacas, llamas and/or calf dependent on availability at the time of your event.

Booking Process and Payments

To request a booking please fill out our booking form. For all other enquires please send us an email.


We endeavor to respond to all booking requests asap and within 5 business days. If you have not received our response after 5 business days, please check your junk mail and/or send us a follow up email. If your email address is entered incorrectly on our booking form, we will not be able to send a reply.

Please understand that we cannot hold a booking for you based on an enquiry only. Either full payment or a nonrefundable $100 deposit is required to secure your booking.
             
Full payment is required a minimum of 24 hours prior to the start of your event. Cancelations made within 24 hours of your event will not receive a refund. We reserve the right to cancel your booking if payment is not received.

No refund will be given if we are unable to set up at your venue, or if we must depart your event due to a failure to comply with our T&C's

We are not able to process credit card payments, we apologize for any inconvenience.

Weather

If you need to cancel your event due to wet weather please notify us at least 24 hours before the start of your event, cancelations made within 24 hours will not receive a refund. We can provide a gazebo in the event of wet/ hot weather, please check with us regarding gazebo size if there is limited space available.

 
If you have concerns about the weather leading up to your event, please email us to discuss options. It may be possible for us to set up in an undercover area such as a carport or we may be able to postpone. 
 
Additional Fees & Charges

We travel up to 1.5 hours from Logan Village 4207 QLD. A travel fee will apply to locations further then 1 hour from Logan Village 4207 QLD, please email us for a quote. 


You must advise us when making your booking if you require that the farm be set up on a hard surface (e.g., driveway, car park, patio, artificial grass), this option will require a ground cover and incur a $50 fee. If you do not select 'ground cover hire' as a service when filling out our booking form, and a suitable grass space is not available, we may not be able to set up at your location.

Pony Ride upgrade from pony to large pony/horse will incur a $100 fee, please see 'Pony Ride' section below for further details.

Set Up and Pack Down

We arrive 30mins prior to your booking time to set up the Mini Farm and can take up to 30mins to pack down and depart.

We arrive 1 hour prior to your booking time to set up the Maxi Farm/ Farm and Pony Rides and can take up to 1 hour to pack down and depart.

For safety reasons we appreciate your assistance in keeping curious onlookers at a safe distance during the set up and pack down times.

Parking and Access 

Please keep in mind that our vehicles require plenty of room to park and turn around. If access is difficult, you must inform us when making your booking request. If we are unable to set up at your venue due to inadequate access a refund will not be given.
 
Please see our service descriptions at the top of this page for our enclosure measurements. We can adjust the size/shape of our enclosures to suit most spaces.
 
Our vehicle must remain attached to the enclosure for the duration of the event. 

Our Mini Farm requires vehicle access (and parking) to the area where the farm enclosure is to be set up. We must have adequate space to access both sides and the rear of our vehicle in order to safely unload our equipment and animals. Minimum access height 2.4m, minimum access width 2.5m.

 
Our Maxi Farm requires vehicle and trailer access (and parking) to the area where the farm enclosure is to be set up. We must have adequate space to access both sides and the rear of our vehicle and trailer in order to safely unload our equipment and animals. Minimum access height 3m, minimum access width 2.5m.

Our Farm and Pony Rides requires vehicle and trailer access (and parking) to the area where the farm enclosure is to be set up. We must have adequate space to access both sides and the rear of our vehicle and trailer in order to safely unload our equipment and animals. Minimum access height 3m, minimum access width 2.5m. We require a grass space to walk the pony which is free from other activities (e.g., play equipment, jumping castles, dogs etc.) to ensure a safe environment while pony rides are in progress.

Child Supervision

We do not offer childcare services; children must be accompanied by a supervising adult at all times. 

Education

Our staff are always happy to answer questions about farming and animal husbandry. Please let us know if you would like an educational discussion as part of your farm experience, we are happy to include this with no extra charge. 

Dogs

We love dogs but not all our farm animals do! Please inform us if dogs will be present at your event and we will select animals who will be comfortable with their presence. Dogs causing discomfort to the farm animals will need to be kept away. Dogs are not permitted if booking pony rides.

 
If you would like us to include a farm dog as part of your mobile farm experience, please let us know and we do our best to accommodate. 

Footwear

Please ensure guests wear suitable enclosed footwear. 


Animal Welfare

The welfare of our animals is of the upmost importance to us. We will not tolerate any mistreatment of our animals, any persons behaving inappropriately around the animals will be asked to leave.


We will not unload our animals or remain in an environment we consider unsafe for our animals. Not much phases our animals but please use common sense and discuss with us prior if you plan to have other activities or entertainment (e.g., fireworks, ball games) at your event.

Parks

If your event is to be held at a park you must contact the local council if you plan to include animals at the event. 

Pony Rides

A wavier must be completed by pony ride participants prior to participation. For participants under the age of 18 the wavier must be completed by a parent or legal guardian.


Maximum rider weight for pony rides is 30kg. We have a range of ponies and horses available, if a larger pony or horse is required you must inform us when requesting the booking to ensure an appropriately sized mount is available. A larger mount will incur an additional $100 fee.

Small children will require a parent or supervising adult to lift them on to and off the pony and walk beside them while they ride.

Always ask our staff before approaching the ponies and never approach from behind or run.

No dogs permitted. No toys, balloons, balls, play equipment, sticks etc. are permitted around the ponies particularly when rides are in progress. If the environment is unsafe pony rides will cease until it is safe to resume.


Our Animals

Our farm animals include chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, peafowl, rabbits, dogs, pigs, sheep, goats, alpacas, llamas, deer, cattle, ponies and horses.

 
We are not a 'baby animal farm', 'animal nursery' or 'petting zoo', therefore our animals are not rehomed when they reach a certain age. Our mobile farms include a variety of farm animals of a variety of ages. We do not take requests for 'only baby animals'.

While we cannot predict which animals will be available for your event, if you have any preferences, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate. We have many permanent residents on our farm, and we also care for animals who temporarily need a little extra care, these animals will often return to their homes or are adopted into new families. Just like people, animals need time off, they have sick days and times when they just aren't feeling sociable. We will never bring an animal to an event unless they are feeling 100% that day. While we can't guarantee which animals will be able to attend your event, you can be assured a variety of happy and healthy animals will attend. 

Which service is best for my event?

There are a number of factors to consider when choosing farm animals for your event, including the space and access that you have available, the number and age of the participants and the type of animals that you want. 

Mini Farm 

Pros
- does not require trailer access
- does not require a large area
- smaller animals may be less intimidating for young children or those encountering farm animals for the first time
- more affordable 

Cons
- smaller enclosure size limits the number of visitors; we recommend no more than 10 visitors inside the enclosure at one time
- due to the smaller enclosure and transport, we are unable to include some types of animals that are available with our other services
 
Farm and Pony Rides

Pros
- two different experiences in one service
- more variety of animals then the Mini Farm
- option to upgrade from pony rides to horse rides so adults can ride 

Cons
- requires more space than the Mini Farm
- requires trailer access
- smaller enclosure size limits the number of visitors; we recommend no more than 10 visitors inside the enclosure at one time

Maxi Farm

Pros
- greater variety of animals
- larger enclosure 
- suitable for public events 

Cons
- requires more space than the Mini Farm
- requires trailer access
